The below measuring chart is to help you get a better idea of our coat sizing. If you want to get the right fit make sure that all measurements are taken when your pup is standing in an upright position. The measurements on the product pages reflect the sizing of the coats, not the sizing of the individual dogs. In the case of breed specific items we made sure to use averages based on the breed, however every pup measures differently. Be sure to check the sizes carefully before placing an order, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions. You will find the each individual measuring chart for the coats under the product description. If your dog falls between two sizes, we recommend going with he bigger one for better coverage.
Measure your dog’s back from the nape of the neck to the beginning of the tail. The nape of the neck is where the neck joins the body. Make sure your dog is standing upright before taking this measurement.
Measure around the neck at its widest part. It is usually towards the nape where the neck joins the body, not necessarily where the collar is worn.
Measure around the dog’s chest at its widest point. Make sure your dog is standing upright before taking this measurement.
Measure your dog from the nape of the neck to the end of their belly. This is how long the jacket will cover underneath.
Between the front legs
Measure the distance between the front legs, that’s the width of the jacket between the legs.
Measure your dog’s neck from the nape to the beginning of the ears. This is the length of the fleece collar.
